Intro to TREC Experience Day

TREC is great fun, and is all about good all round horsemanship. It’s a great way of developing your relationship with your horse, and great cross training whatever your favourite activity with your horse.

At this Intro to TREC clinic, you’ll have two ridden sessions where you try out the Control of Paces (cantering and walking along a set distance), some obstacles similar to those you may meet out hacking, and a map theory session after which you can try a little bit of following a map on foot in your group.

If you’ve done a bit of TREC before then we can make the obstacles in the arena a bit more challenging, but one of the many great things about TREC is you can miss out any of the obstacles you don’t fancy doing, so this is a low-pressure fun activity. And you might like to try a short arena competition in the afternoon.

Your Coach

We are delighted to welcome TREC specialist Rhoda McVey BHS APC Level 3 (BHSAI) and UKCC L2 as our coach. Rhoda is a previous British TREC Champion, and has competed at international level, and is one of the leading TREC coaches in Scotland. She focuses on a holistic approach to improving your relationship with your horse.
